Situated
some 60 minutes from Bristol City centre, Barry Island was one
the new venues for Zapcat Racing in 2009. Arranged late into
the season the event was heralded as a great success by competitors,
sponsors, spectators and local trade alike. All agreed it must
come back to South Wales in 2010.
Despite
budget restraints the Council has again worked tirelessly to
ensure Barry plays a major role in this the 10th Anniversary
year of Championship Zapcat Racing ... and dates have now been
set for its return.
Centred
around the popular Whitmore Bay Beach, the weekend of August
07-08 will see the 'free to view' powerboat spectacle feature
up to 16 heats and divisional finals per day.
The
UK's Zapcat National Championship is the world's largest 'one
