Clifton Ladies Hockey team resumed their National outdoor season against the mighty Trojans and secured a vital victory to keep their championship hopes alive.

With the weather taking a turn for the better and a good crowd of screaming Clifton fans in attendance, Clifton took the lead in the 23rd minute with a wondrous strike from Sandra Frankland.

Clifton settled into cruise control and on the 29th minute of play secured victory with a strike from the impressive Lucy Sheppard to make it 2 nil. As of going to press Clifton are now in third position in the league and if they win their rearranged Sunday game against the Magpies, Clifton could see themselves only one point behind leaders Hounslow – COME ON CLIFTON!
