CITY DO THE BUSINESS Ex top premiership scorer Marcus Stewart and Red was assured an audience at his old club. City welcomed Liam Fontaine back into the team and needed three points after recent set backs. The Reds in first half hour were on top but failing in front of goal again. Noble had been given the job of assisting the lone Shownmi up front for City. Marcus Stewart was inventive for Yeovil causing problems. Betsy on the left and Wilson on the right were busy as the City midfield worked hard. City were to break the deadlock with Ex Yeovil boy Lee Johnson firing home with a crisp strike past Mildenhall on half time.
Lee Johnson HT - Bristol City 1 Yeovil Town O Yeovil started the second showing why they are in the equation. Brian Wilson nearly set up Betsy for a second and the home fans were Buzzing. Betsy was again given a chance at goal after finding himself surpisingly on side. City were well on top. The crowd sensed that if City scored again it was doubtless all over but, as their league position shows, Yeovil thought otherwise and forced Basso into some smart saves.
Noble in control Louis Carey was to have a goal chalked off but his team were to notch again and send the Home fans wild. Bradley Orr confidently fired home a dubious penalty which was to sink the hoops. The workhorse Showunmi was replaced by Jevons near the end to great applause. Betsy was again to go close in the final moments and really deserved a goal and a Cider for a decent game.
Mildenhall gathers the ball from Showunmi But City were to stay a frustrating four points above rivals Forest who staged a great come back to beat Brentford 4 - 2. City have the long journey to Carlisle next Saturday as Forest entertain Bournemouth. It`s a nice cushion for City but in good Ashton Gate fashion .... it`s not over yet !
