DIVISION 1
In Division
One Lawes Juniors squeezed a 1-0 win over Retainers to open up
a two point gap over Sneyd Park, who beat Durdahm Down Adult School
3-0. Lawes have just one match to play and that is against Sneyd.
Sneyd on the other hand still have three games to play; the other
two matches being against Bristol Barcelona and Clifton St. Vincents.
Retainers defeat drops them to third place and they have still
to play Portland Old Boys and Bristol Barcelona. Sneyd must still
be favourites, but over the last few weeks results at the top
haven't always gone to plan. At the bottom Clifton Rockets are
already relegated, and the vital match between Sporting Greyhound
and Bristol Juve was won 1-0 by the latter giving them a three
point gap over the Greyhounds. However, Durdham Down Adult School's
3-0 defeat against Sneyd has meant that they are not out of danger
yet.
DIVISION 2
In the Second
Division Torpedo, who were already champions, lost a League match
for only the second time this season when second placed Cabot
Asset Finance beat them 3-2. But substantial wins for AFC Bohemia
and Saints Old Boys kept up the pressure on Cabot and next Saturday's
match between Torpedo and AFC Bohemia will be vital in the push
for the one remaining automatic promotion position. The bottom
two clubs, Bristol Dynamo and Tebby AFC were already relegated,
but met with the former winning 2-1.

DIVISION 3
Prior to today's
matches the reserve sides of Cotswool, Retainers and Torpedo were
fighting for the two Third Division promotion places. Cotswool's
2-1 win over Torpedo meant that Cotswool Reserves and Retainers
Reserves are now promoted, but who will win the Division? Well
that looks likely to be down to the last Saturday of the season
when the two promoted sides meet. The scramble at the bottom of
the Division became a little clearer following Clifton Rockets
Reserves 4-2 win over LA Cricketers. The two relegation positions
look to be between Jersey Rangers, Evergreen, Cotham Old Boys
and Sporting Greyhounds Reserves.
DIVISION 4
Torpedo A
were already Division Four champions. Their 2-1 win over Beachcroft
dented the latter's promotion hopes. In the other vital match
in the Division Luccombe Garage Reserves beat Retainers A 4-1
to swop positions. However, Blackboy Inn remain second after an
easly win over the penultimate club Tebby AFC Reserves. Bengal
Tigers 4-3 defeat by West Town United condemned them to a re-election
position with Tebby Reserves.
