Bitter
Blow for Bristol Rugby ...
|
|
15DEC08
Bristol Rugby's
Head Coach Richard Hill has revealed that club captain Joe El
Abd could be out of action for a few weeks after injuring his
bicep during last weekend's 25-21 ECC defeat at the hands of Northampton.
|
It's
a bitter blow that struggling Bristol could well do without ahead
of this weekend's vital Guinness Premiership clash with 8th placed
Worcester Warriors at Sixways. Bristol
are currently 7 points adrift of the Warriors at the bottom of
the table.

- In the absence of Head Coach Richard Hill at the club's weekly
media session, Bristol Rugby's Assistant Coach John Brain today
fielded a host of awkward questions from reporters about the Club's
recent performance. |
Still
reeling from last weekend's 66-3 humiliation at the hands of Northampton
at Franklins Gardens, Bristol Rugby face the Saints again this
Sunday in the home leg of the ECC competition.

opened the scoreline and rocked visiting league leaders ALFC 30
minutes into the match with a fine goal from Grace McCatty. [Below]
Though the
half-time whistle saw the Academy Women leading 1-0, the Gunners
took to field for the second half with renewed vigour and within
just 12 minutes Faye White had equalised. Team-mate Julie Fleeting
then went on to seal the match for Arsenal with a superb hat-trick
of goals.

Brew
is no newcomer to the payroll having previously served at the
Club during the 1999-2000 season. Though he didn't make it through
to the first team during that stint, Coach Hill is confient that
he will provide "some additional options in midfield"
this time around.
