Goaless after 68 minutes of missed chances and defensive errors, Bristol Manor Farm manager John Black sparked life into his squad with a triple substitution that eventually sealed victory over Barnstaple last weekend.

Three goals within the last 10 minutes from subs' Hiscox [1] and Stephens [2] saw the Farmy Army supporters leave the Creek happy after a wet and windy afternoons' football.

The team travel to points leaders Dawlish next Saturday. K.O 3:00pm

Bristol Rovers Matty Groves and City's Alan Walsh were at the recent Bristol Port Company sponsored Amateur Boxing Tournament in Pill ... Together they presented trophies to a host of competing boxers in the event organised and promoted by Garry Cave and The NSC.

Bristol Rugby 22 - Saracens 24

Bristol Rugby let slip a 16-6 half-time lead against Saracens at the Memorial Stadium last Saturday handing full-time victory to Saracens after a performance described as "dismal" by Head Coach Richard Hill.

Adrian Jarvis missed five out of seven kicks at goal, winger Mat Turner was sin-binned for a dangerous tackle... and to cap it all, Mark Regan, Nathan Budgett and Neil Brew were all injured during the encounter are now doubtful for the crucial Northampton Guinness Premiership clash on November 16th.

Bristol archery ace Larry Godfrey has his sights set firmly on Gold at the Beijing Olympics next month. Described in The Times as the 'Kevin Pietersen of the sport', he lost out on bronze by just one point at the Athens Games four years ago but says he is stronger, fitter and wisers this time around ....

A team of 'Sportrait' photographers, drawn exclusively from bristolsport.net contributors, have been commissioned to produce a series of high profile recruitment campaign images for the Bristol Aztecs American Football Youth Team throughout the 2008 season.

Announcing the appointment Head Coach Ben Herrod said "With the increased profile and popularity of our sport we've a need for the type of high spec, quality photography that these guys have proven consistently able to produce on demand."
